Hello! I am Leah.
I’m a graphic designer who believes good design should actually work in the real world.
I grew up just outside of Baltimore and earned my B.F.A. in Graphic Design from James Madison University in 2009. Since then, life has taken me on a few meaningful turns, living in Baltimore City, starting a family with two kids, and eventually relocating to Virginia Beach during the COVID pandemic.
Design and branding have always been part of how I see the world, for better or worse. I notice bad kerning. I question tiny billboard text while driving 60 mph. I absolutely watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. I care deeply about clarity, hierarchy, and whether a design makes sense to the person actually experiencing it.
Professionally, I’ve spent years working across a wide range of projects and industries, which has earned me the nickname of the creative “utility player.” I’m comfortable jumping in wherever I’m needed, figuring things out quickly, and turning complex ideas into visual systems that feel intentional, clear, and durable.
Outside of work, I’m usually with my husband and kids, at the beach, staying active, traveling when we can, or sneaking in a few pages of a book (when life with two young kids allows it).
I’m excited to be stepping into this next chapter, partnering more closely with small businesses and individuals who want thoughtful, strategic design without the corporate fluff. If that sounds like you, I’d love to connect.
Thank you!
